The 11th Tag der Lehre took place on 30.10.2019 and was themed «kluge köpfe» - in other words, it was all about the protagonists in teaching. The focus was therefore on those «kluge Köpfe (bright minds)» who are using innovative ideas for the implementation of new teaching concepts or who stand out because of unusual, particularly inspiring or excellent teaching.
But what distinguishes good teaching in the first place? We wanted to pursue this question on the Tag der Lehre as part of a central event. Starting at 14.00h, teachers and students of different disciplines discussed the factors of success of excellent teaching under various different conditions in an interactive workshop.
In addition, there was a poster exhibition in the Lichthof on projects that are funded under the competitive teaching fund. Various thematic tours that took place on the Tag der Lehre gave an insight into innovative teaching formats at the UZH.
Golden Teaching Laurel
The day concluded with a closing ceremony from 16:15h with participation of the president of the university, at which the semester and Orelli awards, as well as the certificates for the Teaching Skills, the CAS in Higher Education and the tutor qualification were awarded. In addition, for the first time a special prize for outstanding teaching was awarded: the golden Teaching-Laurel (more details will follow). The day ended with an Apéro riche in the Lichthof.
